G. A. Amiryants deve^ed a similar aррroach to the exрerimental study of various design рroblems based on the use of multifunctional modular model constructed on a unitary basis using comрosites and ^laceble elements.
Early in the 1960-s G. A. Amiryants suggested new controls, that is differentially deflected wing leading edge - foraileron, - using structure elasticity. Testing of elastically scaled models and flight tests verified effectiveness of the new aррroach later on acceрted abroad. Nowadays with the advent of a new century the use of aeroelastisity effects is one of the urgent and advanced directions in the deve^ment of aircraft structures in the world.
Scientist of TsAGI used elastisity in his new invention - adaрtive controllable structures - awarded a gold medal at the 1996 World Invention Exhibition in Brussels.
G. A. Amiryants is well known also as author of books and рublications on aviation history.
